Springboro is a small suburb of Dayton Ohio located about 25 minutes south of Downtown Dayton. The suburb has very interesting exact borders and is very roughly bounded by Interstate 75 on the west, and Austin Boulevard to the north. Red Lion Five Points Road on the east, and the Springboro Schools Complex makes up one of the southernmost points in Springboro.

The earliest recorded history of Springboro dates back to 1815 when the town was founded by Jonathan Wright. Wright purchased the land and began plotting it out to develop it into a community. In those days the area was actually Springborough named for its ample collection of freshwater underground springs. The community has a lot of interest and saw steady growth in its beginnings growing to about 400 residents by 1850.
Springboro was a stop on the Underground Railroad and home to many safe houses and Springboro was the first Ohio city to proudly display a historic marker of its important and vital help in American history.
Today many of the original historic buildings still stand in Springboro. There is a portion of town known as Historic Springboro where many local stores are housed in Sprinboro's first buildings. It is one of the most charming parts of town to hang out and enjoy the ornate gorgeous unique architecture while enjoying local businesses. Johnathan Wright built several homes and buildings as he began the community. Today you can see his family home which has become the Wright House Bed and Breakfast. He built the storefront Magnolias on Main which began as Springboro's general store that was run by Wright's two sons.
