Fort McKinley is officially an unincorporated area of Ohio in Harrison Township located in Montgomery County and considered to be a small town just outside of the city limits of Dayton Ohio. It is a suburb of the city of Dayton and part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical area. 

The Fort McKinley area is located within the boundaries of Main St to the north and east, Philidelphia Drive on the southeast, Wolf Rd on the west, and West Hillcrest Avenue on the south. It is a neighbor to Regina Heights and Cornell Heights between highway 49 and Interstate 75 which is northwest of downtown Dayton. Fort McKinley is about 4 miles outside of downtown Dayton.

Fort McKinley is very affordable as compared to other Ohio neighborhoods as home prices are lower than 75.4% of Ohio neighborhoods. The average rental price in Fort McKinley is $1,187 a month.
