Sell Your Home FAST with These Five Tips
All the buyers come out of hiding when Spring rolls around, so if you're wanting to sell your Columbus area home this Spring season, now's the time to prepare.
Check out these five tips to sell your home this spring:
1) CURB APPEAL. You've heard it before...buyers decide within the first 60 seconds if they want to consider buying your home. Buyers do judge books by their covers and first impressions are everything.
It is recommended that you trim your trees and bushes, pressure wash the driveway and any walkways or patios, and clean and paint the front door.
Lastly, consider adding brightly colored flowers to the front windows, flower beds or in some nice pots on the front porch.
2) DECLUTTER. Go through all your furniture and closets with a discerning eye to cut out the excess. Uncrowded rooms and closets look bigger.
Do you have dark corners? Paint them a bright color and add lighting. Do you have pets? Shampoo the carpets and clean the curtains.
3) DO PRE INSPECTION REPAIRS. If you know an inspector will find a problem with your house, fix it now.
4) PRICE IT RIGHT. Although prices are rising in some areas, make sure your price is reasonable and compares to similar homes that have sold nearby.
Buyers these days are pretty savvy. Price too low and they may think there's something wrong with your home. Price too high and you'll have to lower your price. Overpriced homes stay on the market for about 90 to 120 days....nobody wants that.
5) OBTAIN A FABULOUS AGENT.
Most buyers begin their search online. For this reason, you'll want an excellent agent who can market your home well. Hire someone with excellent skills in online marketing and a great experience.
